ABOUT THE BANDS

Antry with Joyride - SXSW 2018  Branjae - SXSW 2018

 Antry with Joyride

Joyride primarily covers lead singer Antry's original gospel blues, as well as other rockin' blues, with strong reliance on guitar, keyboard and Antry's three-octave vocal range. Antry's album, which has stayed on the International Indie Charts for over 8 months, "mixes some beautiful gospel and country flavors in with some very cool blues rock," says Professor Johnny P's Juke Joint. "I saw the grizzled visage of Antry looking back at me with the defiant look of an old-time preacher getting ready to wrestle the devil to the ground," making one of the band's lead songs, "Devil Don't Care," fittingly fun. Having just returned from the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, to rave reviews, Joyride's old soul is making new waves in the blues/rock world!

 Branjae

Experimental Soul entertainer, Branjae, is the birth child of Soul, Funk, Jazz and Gospel. A culmination of lyrical layers, melodic rhythms and dynamic theatrical performances, it is clear why she has developed a loyal following. Her voice is reminiscent of the likes of Lauryn Hill, Nina Simone and Janelle Monae, while her stage presence reflects Tina Turner. She was born in the city of Motown and rooted in Tulsa, the city of the Gap Band and the late Leon Russell. She has established herself as a singer-songwriter-entertainer while winning awards like the Absolute Best of Tulsa voted by dedicated fans. Branjae has channeled the raw emotions of life, love, pain, hope, failures and success into relatable parallels far beyond entertainment. More than just a melody, more than a rhythm; the sun is on the horizon and BranjaeMusic has taken her rightful place.

 BRONCHO

Formed in 2010 by Ryan Lindsey, BRONCHO made a name for themselves playing in and around Oklahoma before recording their debut album, 2011's Can't Get Past The Lips.2014's Just Enough Hip To Be Woman was a bold step forward for BRONCHO, and Double Vanity (2016) saw the band transforming the raw angst of the first record into a sound decidedly more layered and complex.  Desi and Cody - SXSW 2018  John Calvin Abney - SXSW 2018

 Desi and Cody

The Tulsa, OK-based duo, Desi and Cody, describe their second album, "Yes This Is Killing Us," as a "dark comedy." United both through music and matrimony, their latest collaboration, to be released in June 2018, exposes the perils and triumphs of relationships. Desi's seductive voice combined with Cody's emotive vocals and sweet harmonies, sonically manifest a refreshing homage to classic 60's femme fatales with chamber pop and baroque textures which transform their Okie roots into the realm of futuristic folk.
Their EPs, Cody's "Dog Days Comin'" and Desi's "In the Dead of Summer," received positive response and were followed by their full-length debut, "Desi and Cody"- launched in 2015 to significant, critical-acclaim. "No Depression" called it "superb" while The Tulsa Voice lauded: "there's no higher praise an album could receive." Desi and Cody's music possesses an inherent irreverence reminiscent of Lynch or Tarantino movies. They filmed a video for their evocative, sultry version of "Wicked Game," combining eye-catching images and mischievous on-the-road antics of the band in the boondocks to the seediness of Hollywood.
