Elected "Class Clown" of his high school, Dave Barry capitalized on his keen sense of humor to become a best-selling author and Pulitzer Prize-winning columnist.

For 22 years, Barry's syndicated weekly column for the Miami Herald appeared in over 500 newspapers with laugh-out-loud commentaries on all aspects of life. He has written more than 30 books, including the novel "Big Trouble," which was made into a movie. With Ridley Pearson, he co-wrote "Peter and the Starcatchers," which was made into a Broadway musical.

Barry has also written a number of books with his comical views on marriage, parenting and getting older. Two of his books, "Dave Barry Turns 40" and "Dave Barry's Greatest Hits" were the basis for the 1990s CBS sitcom "Dave's World." His most recent book is titled "Best. State. Ever. A Florida Man Defends His Homeland."

Tulsa Town Hall programs are sold by season subscription only.
