Tulsa Zoo & Living Museum
The Tulsa Zoo is a must-see while visiting Tulsa. Home to 3,000 animals representing 128 species, the Tulsa Zoo seeks to inspire passion for wildlife in every guest, every day.
Visit the Tulsa Zoo to see many exciting exhibits, including the Robert J. LaFortune WildLIFE Trek, which features a grizzly bear exhibit that boasts a naturalistic habitat and a two story waterfall and wading pond for the bears. This four-building complex is also home to Siberian cranes, naked mole rats, albino alligators and many other animals that have to adapt to specific environments, including cold, desert, forest and water. With many exciting animals and exhibits, this complex will thrill all who decide to take a trek through the wild during their next visit!
Another popular exhibit is the Helmerich Sea Lion Cove, which features multiple viewing points, including an underwater window. You never know what you will "sea" at the Helmerich Sea Lion Cove!
At the African Plains area of the zoo, guests will find many animals native to this region of the world, including giraffes, meerkats, rhinos, lions, African painted dogs and more!
Further exploration into the zoo, you will find The Tropical American Rainforest, one of the zoo's most interactive exhibits. Home to black howler monkeys, piranha, anaconda, jaguars and other species native to rainforest regions, guests will walk along a path full of lush vegetation as many exotic bird species and sloths roam freely through this immersive exhibit.
Don't forget to take a stroll through the Children's Zoo, where guests can get up-close with goats and sheep! This area is also home to llamas, alpacas, Sicilian donkeys and red wattle hogs.
Other favorite exhibits include the Elephant Encounter, the Chimpanzee Connection, the giraffe exhibit and the penguin exhibit.
