 Weaving 201 - Weaving on a harnessed loom – Learn weaving on a loom with a harness. Each participant will take home a finished products. Cost: $133 Fiber is included. This is a two day class retreat.  Weaving 301 - Weaving on a harnessed floor loom - We will learn weaving on a loom with a harness. Each participant will take home a finished product. Cost: $233 Fiber is included. This is a three day class.  Weaving 101 or a similar class is required prior to taking 201; and a weaving 201 or similar class is required prior to taking 301  These classes are offered as a group class in February & September; or on an “individual as needed basis”  Weaving 101 is scheduled for January 28, or call to schedule a special one on one “101” class time.  Participants may stay until 5:30 to practice if desired.  No hidden fees, rental fees or materials fees. All are included in the weekend package.  Bring a sack lunch each day. We provide snacks and beverages at two break times each day.  Class minimum of two people. Class max of 10 people.  Our classes go a step farther than regular classes - we teach some history of fiber arts, and practical technology.  Bring a sack lunch. Fiber work is soothing and wonderful. o Great Weekend “get away” with family or friends.  Retreat held at Shepherd’s Cross, an authentic working farm, just north of Claremore OK on Scenic Route 66.  Shepherd’s Cross hosts a mini wool mill, processing the wool from their flock  Retreats are augmented by hands on learning tools available in the Educational Farm Museum, and with a collection of fiber arts from around the world.  Shepherd’s Cross is the only Animal Welfare Approved sheep farm in Oklahoma and processes the only Animal Welfare Approved fiber sold in the U.S. (that is chemical free, hormone free, free range, natural)  Heart of the Shepherd, the non-profit organization (501-C3) that operates at the farm and establishes wool mills in remote, impoverished areas around the world.  Other Fiber Arts Classes are offered on an individual or group basis throughout the year.  Come to the farm and enjoy the peace of a few hours spent in the country.  The Bible Garden is available for guided or self-guided tours; audio or visual or both.  Shepherd’s Shop, a quaint country gift shop, is an event in itself - featuring a host of festive fall, handmade and farm related gifts and wares from many gifted artisans; a year round “craft fair”. Gift shop open every week from 8:30 – 5:30 Thursday, Friday & Saturday.  Shepherd’s Cross is home to Heart of the Shepherd Inc., a public, non-profit Christian organization (501-C3) that teaches Biblical references to the harvest, the animals, farming and gardening.
