Other animals on the farm include cattle, alpacas, lamas, donkeys, horses & poultry. • Shepherd’s Cross is an Animal Welfare Approved sheep farm. The livestock are pasture raised and pasture fed. • Shepherd’s Cross processes wool in the onsite mini-wool mill, with minimal processing & chemical free washing. • The Dickinsons shear their own flock, in the original method of shearing described in Isaiah 53:7 • The Dickinsons provide animal husbandry classes, veterinary care and training, wool mill training and Lamb of God Bible studies around the world, through the non-profit organization Heart of the Shepherd that operates on the farm. • The primary instructor for the class is Dr. Diane Dickinson, a licensed veterinarian and a agriculturalist, with over 30 years of livestock and farming experience. Her unique perspective of animal husbandry care includes that of a producer, a veterinarian, the small flock & herd, global agriculture, Biblical agriculture, sustainable living, natural production, agritourism and niche markets. Registration Information Class includes instruction, handouts, videos, tutorials & hands on experience.
