Renowned composer and countertenor Ryland Angel rejoins Pro Musica Tulsæ for another concert of English Renaissance works: ‘Music in the Age of Shakespeare: William Byrd, John Dowland, and Friends.’ It is scheduled for 7:00 pm, Sunday, June 3 at Trinity Episcopal Church, 501 S. Cincinnati, in downtown Tulsa.

Angel will perform Elizabethan songs and will conduct the vocal ensemble in two motets and the Mass for 4 Voices by William Byrd. Instrumental ensemble pieces by Orlando Gibbons and Thomas Simpson, as well as incidental music from Shakespeare’s plays, will also be featured. The spoken word will round out the concert.
