Garden CEO Dr. Todd Lasseigne will get you ready for spring with lively and informatiave talks on the third Thursday of each month. Talks begin at 6 p.m. Free for Garden members; regular admission for non-members. Thursday, January 18: "Stories on the Origins of Food" Have you ever wondered where you food came from (and not from the farm or the grocery store or a restaurant)?! Where in the world can you find broccoli growing in the wild, ready to pick?! Come discovery exactly how international and cosmopolitan our plant-based diet is. You’ll be surprised to learn that when you “eat your vegetables,” you’re eating from virtually all of the continents! Thursday, February 15: "Early Herbaceous Perennials for Your Garden" With the onset of winter and the defoliation of the deciduous trees comes the lust for spring. Although we’re many months away from sunflowers and daylilies, don’t fret because there is a plethora of early-flowering perennials that beckon. From hellebores to cyclamen to dead nettle, the wonders of early spring perennials await! Thursday, March 15: "The Splendors of Bulbs" From daffodils to tulips to hyacinths to tulips to crocus to tulips, bulbs signal spring. (And did we mention tulips?!) Come and brush up on your spring-flowering bulbs with a refresher on these beautiful, ubiquitous denizens of temperate zone gardens. Tulsa Botanic Garden is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10am to 5pm. Watch the calendar at for special events and times!
