ACOUSTIC AUGUST SUNDAY CONCERT: Horton Records Presents Seth Lee Jones, Little Joe McLerran, Dan Martin

5:30 - Seth Lee Jones
4:00 - Little Joe McLerran
2:30 - Dan Martin

SETH LEE JONES - A master luthier and a master slide guitar player, Seth Lee Jones is deeply dedicated to his craft and his instrument. If you don’t find him at his work bench building a custom piece of art, you will find him teaching others to build their own guitar at Tulsa Wood Arts. While his unique style of playing definitely stands out, his voice is equally powerful, evoking the memories of some of the greatest jazz/blues titans. Currently performing in a trio format, this is one red hot act that you don’t want to miss. Recommended if you like: Sonny Landreth, Ray Charles, Michael Lee Firkins

LITTLE JOE MCLERRAN --- 2009 International Blues Challenge winner at the age of 25 -- Since winning the IBC title Little Joe has played festivals, concerts and club dates across the US and abroad. His critically acclaimed CD “Believe I’ll Make a Change” rose to number 1 on the blues radio charts early in 2010 and remained at the top of the charts for months. His Piedmont-style blues is a throwback to a different time and era with song craft that belies his age. Recommended if you like: Blind Boy Fuller, Sonny Terry, Big Bill Broonzy

DAN MARTIN - A poetic and melodic display of Folk/Americana honesty, reflective of life lived and places seen through the eyes of a thinker. Presented in a bed of acoustic comfort, these poetic melodies give the back-porch listener ambition to travel the frontier of spiritual and psychological growth. Recommended if you like: Townes Van Zandt, Guy Clark, Steve Earle
